Pitman English asked us to create some instructional videos for their new online English learning courses. Using a combination of talking heads, professionally recorded audio and screen capture we produced two videos. To add a little spice to the videos we used After Effects to create some interesting transitions between the screen capture clips.
We started working with Big Blue Whale after our paths crossed after several other suppliers had recommended their services, and we haven’t looked back since.
Initially contracting Big Blue Whale to undertake some filming requirements for Pitman Training’s launch of ‘Pitman English’, stepping into a new marketplace for our brand was a massive decision, and we recognised the need to launch with a fully comprehensive video outlining how our course enhances the learning experience for our students. Big Blue Whale worked extremely well to our brief, assisting one of our team members who appeared in the video and ensuring our needs were met.
And then of course, we changed the brief a little – instead of editing in-house as planned, we landed Big Blue Whale with an urgent editing job of the footage they had created, along with replicating screen shots and animation of our courseware, to an incredibly tight deadline. Again, without batting an eyelid, Big Blue Whale got straight to work, storyboarding and shooting the rest of our video, highlighting a couple of inconsistencies that we had to look into, and ensuring that we were happy with the edits along the way.
The extended brief was met to an impeccable standard, ahead of the deadline and with incredible resolution, sound and quality. We have since continued to work with Big Blue Whale – enlisting them to carry out our staff photos and have a number of other projects on the go.
The service provided by Big Blue Whale is incredible – they really do work with you, as an extension of your team – which is rare to find.
