Event Video Production That Celebrates Culture
Big Blue Whale has partnered with the Bradford 2025 UK City of Culture marketing team to produce high-impact event video content that captures the energy and ambition of the programme. With three projects already completed and more in the pipeline we have received fantastic feedback from everyone involved.
Our first project with the Bradford 2025 team came off the back of their search for standout event video production. They were drawn to our fast-paced, visually rich festival videos and commissioned us to create a highlight film for The Big Brass Blowout—a vibrant celebration of brass music across the city.
This project combined our love of live music with our passion for creating cinematic event films. We delivered a 90-second highlight video with a quick turnaround for social media release, capturing the spirit of the day with pace and punch.
For this one-night-only performance, Bassline Symphony brought together Bradford’s iconic bassline artists—Jamie Duggan, DJ Q, and TS7—with the Orchestra of Opera North at St George’s Hall.
We used a multicam setup to capture the energy of the night and recorded clean audio from the sound desk. The result: eight dynamic social media edits, each showcasing a different track and tailored for online engagement.
Working alongside BBC Radio 2, we captured aerial footage of Bantam of the Opera performing All You Need Is Love during a live Jeremy Vine broadcast. We handled all flight planning, risk assessments, and on-the-day coordination with the BBC team to ensure a smooth shoot.
In addition, we filmed sweeping drone shots across Bradford city centre, festival venues, and surrounding areas—building a library of cinematic aerial footage to support both current and future campaigns for Bradford 2025.
