In 2025, Bradford stepped onto the national stage and we were proud to be right there with them. Big Blue Whale partnered with Bradford 2025 throughout the year, delivering high-impact event video production that celebrated culture, community and creativity across the city.
Our first project set the tone. The Bradford 2025 team were looking for standout event video production that felt energetic, bold and social-ready. They had seen our festival work and wanted that same pace and impact.
We produced a 90 second highlight film capturing the vibrancy of The Big Brass Blowout, a city-wide celebration of brass music.
Filmed with dynamic movement, tight crowd coverage and powerful live music, the edit was delivered on a quick turnaround for immediate social media release. The result, a high-energy highlight that amplified the day online and extended the life of the event beyond the streets of Bradford.
Bassline Symphony was a one-night-only performance at St George’s Hall. Iconic bassline artists Jamie Duggan, DJ Q and TS7 joined forces with the Orchestra of Opera North.
This required a more technical approach. We deployed a full multicam setup, capturing the performance from multiple angles while recording clean audio directly from the sound desk.
This is where event video production meets smart social media video production. The content rolled out across platforms, keeping momentum high and driving ongoing engagement long after the night ended.
Throughout the year, aerial video production played a key role in shaping the visual identity of Bradford 2025.
Working alongside the team at BBC Radio 2 during a live Jeremy Vine broadcast, we captured aerial footage of Bantam of the Opera performing All You Need Is Love.
Beyond broadcast moments, we built a cinematic drone library of Bradford city centre, festival venues and surrounding landscapes. This footage now supports ongoing event marketing videos, future campaigns and long-term place branding.
