Planning

Wonderment Retreat Festival, a weekend of wellness nestled in the tranquil Wasing woodland near Reading, provides a range of events that cater to the needs of the mind, body, and soul, featuring top practitioners from around the world.

As a returning videography and photography team, our focus this year was to elevate our content to new heights. Building on our experience from the previous year, we aimed to surpass our previous efforts by capturing the essence of the festival through our storytelling, filming, and editing.

Creation

Our team set out to create a promotional video for the Wonderment Retreat Festival that would capture the essence of the event and drive ticket sales. Over the course of the weekend, we worked tirelessly to capture all the highlights, from daytime activities to nighttime performances, even capturing stunning timelapses and underwater shots to showcase the festival’s serene location.

With an abundance of footage at our disposal, we set out to create a video that would be both exciting and tranquil, embodying the festival’s atmosphere while still packing a punch. Our final product was a testament to our dedication and attention to detail, and we’re proud to have helped promote such an incredible event.

Results

We are delighted to receive positive feedback from both the client and the attendees after sharing the video and photographs of the Wonderment Retreat Festival on social media. The visual content has been instrumental in driving ticket sales for both the upcoming 2021 event and the newly introduced winter edition in January. We are honored to have been invited back to capture more captivating visuals for the Wonderment Retreat Festival in 2021 and look forward to continuing our partnership with them.

Soul pride

Big Blue Whale was honored to capture the magic of Soul Pride, an inclusive and conscious retreat-festival that combines wellness retreat by day and party by night. With one camera operator and a photographer, our team was able to capture all the action and create a final film that has helped to promote the event. We are thrilled to hear that it has been received so well, with Atitude magazine calling it one of the best things to have happened to the queer community in years.
